
Carolyn G. Shaw, a Partner with the Firm, has announced she will retire from the practice of law and the Firm effective December 31, 2024. It has been a true privilege to partner with Carolyn on behalf of the Firm, our clients and our colleagues to whom Carolyn as meant so much during her lengthy career. All of us at KPT will miss the passion Carolyn brings to our work every day. Her legacy through the colleagues she has mentored and her extraordinary service to the profession and to client service will endure for many years to come.
Carolyn’s announcement caps a remarkable legal career that spans more than 40 years – beginning with the law firm Perry, Patrick, Farmer & Michaux, PA in 1977 and continuing to Kennedy Covington Lobdell & Hickman, LLP and K & L Gates, LLP before becoming a partner with the Firm in 2011.
Carolyn will continue to work with the Firm as a consultant to assist partners Rusty Reed and Stephanie Daniel with the clients and families she has faithfully served over last four decades.
Carolyn, all of your friends at KPT thank you for being who you are. We wish you the best on this milestone in your distinguished career. While we’ll miss you, we know you will enjoy spending more time with friends, family, and in your other pursuits.
